Apple issues invites for 9/11/13 to Beijing Media for Separate Event

In a rare move, Apple will hold a separate media event for the Chinese Media one day after the U.S. Event.  This, according to web site Sina [Google Translation] .  The media event is scheduled to take place at 10:00 am local time.

It is not clear why the company is holding another event, only to speculate that it has something to do with an announcement about one of China’s biggest telecom companies, China Mobile.
