AirPods can now be personalized with Emojis

Starting 1/3/2020, customers who purchase AirPods from Apple now have a choice to personalize the purchase with Emoji icons on the outside of the charging case at no additional charge.  The purchaser is given the option during checkout and is given a menu with available choices.

Apple announced the new option via a banner on its website.
