Nvidia becomes first company to surpass $3.6 trillion market value after President Trump election win

The dominant AI chipmaker’s shares rose 2.2%, lifted by broad investor optimism about tax cuts and lower regulations after the Republican candidate’s Tuesday election victory.

Nvidia’s stock market value ended the day at $3.65 trillion, beating Apple’s record closing market capitalization of $3.57 trillion reached on Oct. 21, before the chipmaker on Tuesday overtook the iPhone maker as the world’s most valuable company, according to LSEG data.

Apple’s stock rose 2.1% on Thursday, leaving it with a market value of $3.44 trillion.

The S&P 500 technology index has surged over 4% in the two sessions since Trump won the election on Tuesday.

What is and how to use Find My Mac

Find My Mac is an incredibly useful tool from iCloud that let you find your Mad as long as it’s registered on the same Apple Account. Enabling and Disabling it is very easy (if you know where to go).

Here’s how to Enable it:

Pull down the  Apple menu
Select ‘System Settings’
Click on your name at the top of System Settings sidebar
Click on ‘iCloud’
Click “See All” to view the rest of the settings
Click “Find My Mac”
Click on the Turn ON button next to Find My Mac

How to Disable it:

Pull down the  Apple menu
Select ‘System Settings’
Click on your name at the top of System Settings sidebar
Click on ‘iCloud’
Click “See All” to view the rest of the settings
Click “Find My Mac”
Click on the Turn Off button next to Find My Mac

macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta offers new privacy-enhancing AirPlay options

Apple’s latest macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta introduces a significant upgrade to AirPlay, allowing users to share a more limited portion of their screen when AirPlaying to an Apple TV. This enhanced flexibility provides greater control over the content shared with the connected device.

There are now options to show your entire screen, a specific window or app, or your extended display. Limiting ‌AirPlay‌ to a specific app allows a presentation or photos to be shared on the larger screen of a TV without allowing viewers to see all of the content on a Mac.

In the current version of macOS, Apple allows for mirroring a Mac’s display to an ‌Apple TV‌, but there is no option for sharing just a portion of a display.

The menu allowing for an entire screen or just a window or app to be displayed also appears when connecting a Mac to a TV over HDMI.

Warner Bros. Discovery planning to crackdown on Max password sharing

Max will gradually implement its password-sharing restrictions over the next few months, initially using a soft approach to inform users about the upcoming changes. Warner Bros. Discovery’s CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels, revealed during the company’s Q3 earnings call that the initial phase will be followed by more significant steps in 2025 and 2026.

Wiedenfels called password sharing “a form of price rises,” as the company is “asking members who have not signed up, or multi-household members to pay a little bit more.” This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Max’s interest in password sharing, but now we have more details about when — and how — it will all begin.

In March, JB Perrette, Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of global streaming and games, said Max would start its crackdown “later this year and into ‘25.” So far, Max’s rollout sounds similar to how Disney Plus began its crackdown, as it started sending emails to customers about paid sharing months before it rolled out its “extra member” option. Netflix also started asking that members pay to share their passwords last year.
