BEWARE: Apple Vision Pro Scams on eBay and Others

Ever since the Vision Pro hit the streets, scammers have been frothing at the mouth trying to make a quick buck at selling the device 70% to 80% more than the actual price that Apple wants.

There are devices selling on eBay for $20,000.00 and more.  While most of them are a-git, some of them are scans right out of the gate.  Even though this article cannot cover all the ways you could get scammed, here are somethings to look out for.

  1. Look at the seller's rating: All eBay sellers have a rating on the seller page.  Anything below 90% should be in question.
  2. Look at the seller's comments: Buyers can leave comments about the seller and how the experience was.
  3. Sound too good to be true?: It probably IS.
  4. Stock photos 0f the item: If the item is showing standard stock photos, ask the seller for some actual photos of the item.
  5. Pay with PAYPAL or other Credit Card: To dispute the sale if you have too.
  6. Be STREET Smart: Listen to that "inner voice" inside of you.

While I'm not saying that all Vision Pro sales are scams, just be careful and have fun.

Apple TV+ Renews Invasion for Season 3

On Tuesday, Apple TV+ announced a season three renewal for “Invasion,” its sweeping, character-driven, global hit science fiction drama series from Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg (“X-Men” films, “Deadpool” films, “The Martian”) and David Weil (“Hunters”). The third season of “Invasion” is set to go into production later this month.

Following the debut of season two, “Invasion” has been lauded for “upping the ante” with each season and offering a “mélange of intrigue, character development and slow-burn pacing” as well as expert cinematography that “captures the beauty and eeriness” of an alien invasion. The first and second seasons of “Invasion” are now streaming globally on Apple TV+.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to do with our first two seasons of the show with our partners at Apple TV+ and our cast and crew,” said creator and executive producer Simon Kinberg, in a statement. “This new season will continue to build on the scale, stakes and propulsion of the ‘Invasion,’ while keeping our characters front and center, bringing them together in ways that will hopefully surprise and most importantly move our audience, who have been so incredibly supportive and inspiring since day one.”

“Invasion” follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The acclaimed, action-packed series stars Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland and Tara Moayedi. Season two also starred newly added series regulars Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor and Naian González Norvind.

Produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker, “Invasion” is created by Kinberg and Weil, who also serve as executive producers alongside Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Andrew Baldwin, Dan Dietz and Katie O’Connell Marsh. Nick Nantell serves as executive producer for Boat Rocker.

The Apple TV comes with a remote that should already be paired. But incase it isn't or you have to replace the remote for one reason or another, here's how.

  2. Make sure the Apple TV is tuned on.
  3. Point your remote at your Apple TV.
  4. Make sure that the remote is about three inches away from the Apple TV.
  5. Press and hold Back (or Menu) and Volume Up. for five seconds.
  6. If asked, place your remote on top of Apple TV to complete pairing.
  7. That's it.

You shouldn't have to re-pair the remote after the above steps. But if you do, just do the above again.
