A theme is a webpage that your customers will see when they login. There are various themes available from different companies including WordPress.. Once you choose a theme, you have to upload it to the website and make it active. Usually, all themes come in a ZIP file that WordPress will unzip once the file is fully uploaded to the site.
This tutorial will show you how to upload a new theme to your WordPress site.
- Find a WordPress Theme.
- For this article, download a demo theme.
- Go to the upper-left corner of your WordPress website.
- Select [name of website] > Themes.
- Click on Add New Theme.
- Click on Upload Theme.
- Find the ZIP file you’ve downloaded earlier.
- Double click it.
- Upload it to the site.
- If all goes well, the theme should be available on the site.
- Click Activate.
- That’s it.
You can now use the theme on your WordPress web site.
