MacOS Sonoma: Show and Hide your Desktop

Sometimes, you may have various windows open and need to quickly show the Desktop.

This feature is on by default in MacOS Sonoma. But if you wish to turn this feature OFF, that's easy to do.

Here's how:

  1. Go to  > System Settings > Desktop & Dock.
  2. Find "Click wallpaper to reveal Desktop".
  3. Now you can make your preference known.
  4. That's it.

A handy feature that could become a pain in the ass.

Downgrading from iOS 17 to iOS 16 is NO Longer Possible

Following the release of iOS 17.0.3 earlier in the week, Apple has closed the door to downgrading from iOS 17 to iOS 16, even though it used to be possible in previous years when the company allowed such a step after the final public version was released.

This is also because Apple stops allowing previous versions of iOS to be "signed" by developers.

Today is the 12th anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death

Today marks the 12th anniversary of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ death.

Jobs died at his Palo Alto, California home on October 5, 2011, due to complications from a relapse of his previously treated islet-cell pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. He died with his wife, children, and sisters at his side. His sister, writer Mona Simpson, described his passing: "Steve's final words, hours earlier, were monosyllables, repeated three times. Before embarking, he'd looked at his sister Patty, then for a long time at his children, then at his life's partner, Laurene, and then over their shoulders past them. Steve's final words were: 'Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow.'" He then lost consciousness and passed away several hours later.

Apple CEO Tim Cook in 2022 tweeted about Steve Jobs on the 11th anniversary of his death, writing: "Steve showed us all, again and again, that a great idea really can change the world. Remembering him today and always."
