Dog eats AirTag. Once Retrieved, did it work?

A guy by the name of Colin Mortimer uses an Apple AirTag to help keep track of his dog.  The device is normally attached to the dog’s collar without any problems.  One day, he noticed that the AirTag was not there.  When he paged it, he realized it was INSIDE the dog.

The rest of the story comes from The Wall Street Journal:

The 25-year-old fired up Apple’s Find My app, which showed that the white, bottle-cap-size disc was still in his home. He tapped a button on his iPhone to trigger the AirTag to beep. That’s what he heard coming from the belly of Sassy, a 50-pound Labrador retriever foster pup.

“I was like ‘Oh my God,’ ” said Mr. Mortimer, director of a public policy organization. “Luckily, we got her to throw it up.”

The AirTag, which was personalized with a puppy emoji, has a few bite marks but still works. He bought a new, $7 plastic holder from Amazon, and reattached the tracker to the collar of his older Lab, Sophie, he said.

Just goes to show you….Apple’s hardware is built to last, no matter what.  :-)

Warning: Microsoft is forcing Windows 11 users to do THIS

PCMag.com is reporting that Microsoft is forcing Windows 11 users to abandon the launch version of the operating system and forcing them to upgrade to another version via manual or automatic software update.

As PCMag reports:

As Windows Central reports(Opens in a new window), Microsoft decided to call time on the launch version of Windows 11 (21H2). As of Jan. 26, anyone still running version 21H2 of either Windows 11 Home or Pro is on the automatic update list.

In a status update(Opens in a new window), Microsoft said "The automatic update to Windows 11, version 22H2 will happen gradually starting with those devices that have been using version 21H2 for the longest period of time."

Windows users affected by this decision can still control when the update gets installed by setting their active hours(Opens in a new window) in Windows. You can't stop the update happening, but Microsoft may delay it for some systems if a compatibility issue is identified. Microsoft believes the automatic update is necessary to ensure "you stay protected and productive."

Windows 11 22H2 counts as a features update for the operating system. If you're still running the launch edition there's bound to be a few surprises in terms of changes made and new features introduced.
