iPad Battery not Charging? Try these tips!

Sometimes, your iPad's Battery decides not to charge when plugging it in.  If that has happened to you, try these tips before calling Apple for assistance.

First, make sure that you’re using the right accessories

Connect your iPad to a USB charging cable (preferably the cable that came with your iPad). Then plug the cable into one of these power sources:

  • A USB power adapter that’s plugged into a working wall outlet. It's best to use the USB power adapter that came with your iPad. Learn more about Apple USB power adapters.
  • A USB port that supports USB 2 or later, on a computer that’s on and not in sleep mode.
  • A powered USB hub, docking station, or other Apple-certified accessory.

If your iPad still won’t charge, try these tips

  • Use a different power adapter or a different charging cable. If you don’t have those, contact Apple Support.
  • Make sure that your iPad isn't too hot or too cold. Learn about keeping your iPad within acceptable operating temperatures.
  • Force restart your iPad:
    • For an iPad without a Home button: Press and quickly release the volume button closest to the top button. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button. Press and hold the top button until your iPad restarts.

If you're still having problems, contact Apple Support.

Amazon Drive ending at end of 2023

Amazon.com has sent the below email to all users of Amazon Drive stating that the service is coming to an end on December 31st, 2023.  All users need to download any photos, files, and any other related materials before that time.

Below is a copy of the email:

Dear Amazon Drive Customer,

Amazon Drive will no longer be accessible after December 31, 2023. We will continue to support Amazon Photos and ensure customers can safely back up, share, and organize photos and videos with the Amazon Photos service.

Here are the steps you need to take:

    • Use Amazon Photos to access and manage your photos and videos. Your Amazon Drive photo and video files are available to you through Amazon Photos. To access your photos and videos, please sign in to the Amazon Photos website or download the Amazon Photos app for iOS and Android.
      • Do not delete your photo and video files from your Amazon Drive account if you would like to access them through Amazon Photos. While Amazon Drive and Amazon Photos are separate services, they access the same photo and video files, so any photo or video deleted on Amazon Drive will no longer be available through Amazon Photos and will be permanently removed from Amazon after 30 days.

  • Review and download your non-photo and non-video files from the Amazon Drive website before December 31, 2023.We recommend using the Amazon Drive website to review and download your non-photo and non-video files from Amazon Drive. If you are having trouble downloading your files on the web app due to size limitations, we recommend using the Amazon Photos Desktop app to download and save your files. More instructions for using the Amazon Photos desktop app can be found on our FAQ page.

Step-by-step instructions for using Amazon Photos, deleting and downloading your files, managing your paid subscription, and resources for additional help can be found on our FAQ page.

Thank you for being an Amazon customer.
