Apple Pay Later is now available to all American users

Apple Pay Later is now available to all American users, after the company initially released its Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) offering to a limited number of users back in March of this year.

Apple Pay Later allows users to split the cost of an Apple Pay purchase into four equal payments over six weeks without interest or late fees.

The tech giant’s website now advertises that you can use Apple Pay Later for purchases between $75 and $1000 made on iPhone and iPad.

To get started with Apple Pay Later, you need to apply for a loan within the Wallet app. You will be asked to enter the amount you want to borrow and then agree to the Apple Pay Later terms. Once you have been approved, you will begin to see a “Pay Later” option when your select Apple Pay at checkout online and in apps on iPhone and iPad.

Before you complete a purchase using Apple Pay Later, you will get an overview of your four new payments alongside your other upcoming Apple Pay Later payments. You have the option to use autopay to make the payments, or you can choose to pay them manually.

Rumor: Apple to be developing new 12- and 13-inch MacBooks for $700 or less

According to the operator of news aggregator account “yeux1122” on the Naver blog, supply chain sources have “consistently” seen evidence that Apple has low-cost MacBooks in two different sizes in ongoing development.

A DigiTimes report last month also said Apple could launch a more affordable MacBook series in late 2024 to differentiate from the company’s existing MacBook Air and Pro lines, and to help the company compete with Google’s popular Chromebook models.

The Naver blog account has a mixed track record for forecasting Apple’s plans, but some of its claims last year proved to be significant. For example, in March 2022 it accurately revealed some details about the third-generation iPhone SE ahead of Apple launching the model. In October of the same year it also accurately predicted that Apple would delay the release of new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models until early 2023.

‘John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial,’ narrated by Kiefer Sutherland on Apple TV+

Today, Apple TV+ announced a new three-part documentary series, “John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial,” narrated by Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland (“24,” “The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial”). The docuseries features exclusive eyewitness interviews and previously unseen crime scene photos, shedding new light on the life and murder of music and cultural icon John Lennon, and the investigation and conviction of Mark David Chapman, his confessed killer.

“John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial” is the most thoroughly researched examination of John Lennon’s 1980 murder, which shocked and saddened the world. The production was granted extensive Freedom of Information Act requests from the New York City Police Department, the Board of Parole and the District Attorney’s office; and the series includes exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses — speaking for the first time — along with some of Lennon’s closest friends, revealing shocking details of Lennon’s tragic murder. “John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial” also features interviews with Chapman’s defense lawyers, psychiatrists, detectives and prosecutors.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning team at 72 Films, directed by Nick Holt (“The Murder Trial,” “Responsible Child”) and Rob Coldstream (“Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain”) with executive producers David Glover (9/11: One Day in America”), Mark Raphael (“Crime and Punishment”) and Coldstream, alongside producers Simon Bunney and Louis Lee Ray.

Apple TV+ offers premium, compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment, and is available to watch across all your favorite screens. After its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ became the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world, and has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut. To date, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have earned 392 wins and 1,579 award nominations and counting, including multi-Emmy Award-winning comedy “Ted Lasso” and historic Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA.”
