How to Restart iPhone 15 via Settings
Did you know you can restart your iPhone via the Settings app?
- Go to Settings > General.
- Scroll all the way down until you see Shut Down.
- Tap it, then slide the slider to power iPhone off.
- Press the power button to turn the phone back on.
- That's it.
How to Reboot iPhone 15
Most of the time, the iPhone 15 "just works". But sometimes you may have to reboot (restart) the phone.
Here's how:
- Press and quickly release the volume up button.
- Press and quickly release the volume down button.
- Press and hold the side button.
- When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
- That's it.
MacOS: How to make a bootable MacOS Sonoma Emergency Installer Drive
Today's the day when MacOS Sonoma becomes available to the public. One of the things that you should do after installing the update is to make a bootable Emergency Installer Driver by using an USB Drive.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A free USB Port that’s directly on the Mac.
- An USB drive (16GB minimum)
Here’s what to do:
- Download the MacOS Sonoma installer from the Mac App Store.
- Connect the USB Drive directly to the Mac.
- Open Disk Utility from [Finder > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility].
- Over on the right side, select the USB drive.
- Select Erase.
- When it’s finished, quit Disk Utility.
- Go in to Terminal [Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal].
- Type the following (see fig. A).
- Hit return to execute the command, and then enter the administrator password as required by sudo, you won’t see the password typed in Terminal so just enter it and hit the Return key
- The macOS Sonoma beta boot installer drive will be created, you can watch the Terminal for progress, when finished you will see a message in Terminal stating ‘Install media now available at “/Volumes/Install macOS Sonoma beta”‘
- To safely remove the USB drive, drag the desktop icon to the Trash.
- Now you can remove the drive.
