April is Child Abuse Awareness Month

Every April, Child Abuse Awareness Month comes. It is a month that people should be made more aware of this sometimes hidden danger with children of all ages, races, and sexes.

According to Child Protect.org:

Approximately 5 children die every day because of child abuse. 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be sexually abused before they reach age 18. 90% of child sexual abuse victims know the perpetrator in some way. 68% are abused by a family member.

I personally have never experienced child abuse, but I know people who have. That's why I've made an app for those seeking information about the topic which one can download onto their iOS device for $0.99 (more as to why I charge for the app later). Information is power, and I have taken it upon myself to give you or someone you know that power. I also have apps for other abuses, and more is on the way.

Why do I charge for something that can be for free?

I get this question a lot. The charge helps me to keep up my membership to Apple to ensure that I can keep these apps up-to-date.

You can now order Domino’s Pizza via Apple CarPlay

On Monday, Domino's Pizza has announced that persons who have Apple CarPlay can now order their favorite pizza right from the device.

Customers have two ordering options via Domino's app on CarPlay: "Tap to Order" or "Call to Order." Tap to Order lets customers submit their saved Easy Order or one of their most recent orders, while "Call to Order" allows them to place the order of their choice, hands-free, by talking to a customer service representative.

How Does It Work?
Ordering Domino's via CarPlay is easy! To do so, customers simply need to:

Download Domino's iPhone^®app.
Log into their Pizza Profile.
Have a saved Easy Order or recently placed order (in order to use "Tap to Order").
Select Domino's app on Apple CarPlay and voila! Ordering is at your fingertips.

How to Enable Sidecar in MacOS Ventura

Yesterday, I informed you that MacOS 13.3.1 fixed the Sidecar feature. Now today, I'll tell you what it is, and how to use it.

What IS Sidecar?

Sidecar enables a user to use an iPad as a secondary monitor when its near a Mac. It can be used as a replacement for a second monitor in most situations.

Here's how:

Go to the  Apple menu and choose “System Settings”
Go to “Displays”
Click the + add button and choose the iPad under “Mirror or extend to:”
The displays may flicker briefly and Sidecar will become active, now click on the iPad in “Displays” to access Sidecar settings in MacOS Settings.
That's it.
