Advanced Developer Tip: STOP using MVVM in SwiftUI

MVVM is a way for us developers to develop software for the Mac, iPhone, and other related hardware.  It is a design pattern that we have been using for years without fail.

Now, a YouTube user by the name of AzamSharp has turned this idea upside down by stating that we should not be using this design pattern, and it can even be more work on our part.

Watch the video, and then comment in our FaceBook, Twitter, or below on what you think about this new theory.

Using YouTube as a tool to learn Swift and SwiftUI

If you go onto YouTube, then you know that the service has millions of topics that range from daily Vlogs to how to cook dinner.  But did you also know that it can become a valuable place in learning how to make apps, such as with Swift and/or SwiftUI.  But one doesn't have to limit learning Swift or SwiftUI.  The service has videos for virtually any computer language that you want to learn about - such as C, C++, FORTRAN, Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, and more.

Just click here to see the millions of videos that you could learn from - for free.

How to change the cursor tracking speed on an iPad

iPad users can change the cursor tracking speed on the iPad. Some users want to change this when the cursor may move too fast or slow for them.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Settings app on the iPad.
  2. Go to “General”.
  3. Choose “Trackpad & Mouse”.
  4. Look for the Tracking Speed slider at the top of the screen.
  5. Drag the dial towards the left turtle to slow the cursor down, or dragging the dial towards the right rabbit to speed the cursor up.
  6. You can adjust this setting as many times as you need too.
  7. That's it.
