Q: Why aren’t we covering what’s new with the next version of MacOS and iOS 16? A: Read below.

A few readers have emailed us questioning why this website is not covering the latest happenings with the next version of MacOS and iOS 16.

The answer is simple: We can't.  Several team members are registered Apple Developers and they would violate Apple's Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and do not want to risk loosing there access to the developer's portal. Also, some of the new features that are currently included may not be there at the time of public release.

BUT, as soon as they become available to the public sometime this Fall, we will be covering all of the news and information for those operating systems.

Stay tuned!

What to do if you accidentally quit Finder on Mac

As we all know who use Macs, the Finder (just like the Start Button in Windows) can be a very important area to learn and use on a Mac.  It can also be a pain in the ass too.

Sometimes, you have to quit the Finder for the below reasons:

  • Not enough RAM.
  • Low system storage.
  • Corrupt system preferences.
  • Hung background applications.

You can quit the Finder by doing the following:

  1. Open Finder, press and hold the Option Key.
  2. Select the Main Apple Menu () and press Force Quit Finder.
  3. The Finder will now restart.
  4. That's it.

You can also quit it by doing the following:

  1. Press the [Command] + [Tab] keys.
  2. Move to the Finder icon.
  3. Press [Command] + [Q].
  4. That's it.

If you do the above, the Finder may not restart.  In that case, do the following:

  1. Press the [Command] + [Spacebar] keys.
  2. Spotlight search opens on the desktop.
  3. Type: Finder
  4. That's it.
