FaceBook warns 1 Million users about stolen usernames AND passwords

FACEBOOK USERS - CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD NOW! FaceBook's parent company, Meta, has discovered a security breech that has effected one million of its users.

Via Bloomberg News:

The company announced Friday that it identified more than 400 malicious Android and iOS apps this year that target internet users in order to steal their login information. Meta said it informed both Apple and Google about the issue in order to facilitate removal of the apps.

The apps worked by disguising themselves as photo editors, mobile games or health trackers, Facebook said.

Apple said 45 of the 400 problematic apps were on its App Store and have been removed. Google removed all [355 of] the malicious apps in question, a spokesperson said.

Siri will confirm you wish to do this.
Tap Confirm.

Google bans Trump’s Truth Social from its App Store

In a never ending battle with the media and social media, it seems that several readers have reported (and confirmed by us) that Google has banned the conservative social media platform Truth Social.

As of this writing, the social media platform app is still available in the iOS App Store.

How to use the Apple Watch Ultra Backtrack Feature

When hiking or mountain climbing, it's very easy to get lost. Especially when an area is bigger then what you calculated.

Fortunately, the Apple Watch Ultra has s feature called Backtrack that keeps track of where a user has been.

Here's how to use it:

Open the Compass app on your Apple Watch.
Tap the footprints icon in the bottom-right of the screen, then tap Start to begin recording your route.
If necessary, scroll down and tap Allow Once to allow Compass to access your Recent Locations.
When you're ready to retrace your steps, tap the pause icon in the bottom-right of the screen, then tap Retrace Steps.
Your starting location will appear on the compass, and a bouncing white arrow will point you in the right direction. The path back to the starting point will appear within the compass circle as a white line. Follow the path back to return to where you first turned on Backtrack.
When you've arrived at your starting location, tap the footsteps icon again, then tap Delete Steps.
That's it.
