Disney’s Bob Iger to sell the company to…..Apple?

No, I didn't get the title wrong.  There are several reports coming in that Disney rehired Bob Iger so he could oversee the sale of The Walt Disney Company to another company.  That is Apple, Inc.

It is no secret that the two companies have worked together in the past.  Back before the late Steve Jobs died, Disney bought the Pixar Company from Jobs for millions of dollars, leaving the late Jobs as the largest shareholder of Disney and a seat on their board of directors.

Even though on the surface, the two companies wouldn't make sense but when you drill down to the nitty gritty of the deal it would make sense for the streaming content that Disney offers.  Apple could then build up its Apple TV+ Streaming Service to surpass even those such as Netflix or even Discovery +. But then how would a computer company run such things as Disneyland and Disney World?  Those questions would need to be addressed by both companies.

Also, would a deal such as this would even get regulatory approval?  Such a deal would even eclipse what Discovery Communications did earlier this year when they bought out Time-Warner from AT&T.

What ever the two companies decide to do, you can be assured that we will be reporting on this in the future.  So stay tuned!

Troubleshooting an iPhone not ringing

Is your iPhone not ringing when you receive a call?  You'd be surprised at how many persons (especially the elderly) have problems with this, when it can be an easy fix for most situations.  Below can give you some ideas of what to try.

  1. Your external mute button is switched ON: On the upper left-side of the iPhone is a small switch that lets a user mute the phone.  Looking at the switch there are two sections.  When the section shows an orange side, the phone is on mute.
  2. Make sure a default ringtone is set: To make sure a default ringtone is set, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone and change it. Some ringtones are hard to hear, especially in loud situations.
  3. Reboot the iPhone: When all else fails, REBOOT!  This solves most problems.
  4. Is the volume UP: Make sure your iPhone's volume is up to a point you can hear it.
  5. Is Focus Mode ON?: Focus Mode is a new feature that one can turn on when they don't want to be interrupted when working or doing other stuff.

Those are just some of the things you can try. As always, contact Apple Support with any questions or concerns.
