Developers reporting major lockup problems with Xcode

Over the past few days, Apple's developers support forums have lit up over complaints about the current version of Xcode (Version 12.4 (12D4e)), the program that developers use to make apps for iOS and Mac, are having major lock up problems when trying to use the app.

The discussions center around the app frequently locking up and showing the "beach ball of death" when trying to even use the program.

Developer Satcol, who opened the discussion said:

After upgrading to Big Sur and Xcode 12.2, the app crashes every time I select the behaviors preference pane.

I can see the following error in the crash report:

The 27 replies to this question keep growing, with most developers filing a bug report directly to Apple. At the time of this writing, no comment from Apple.

Parler.com back online with new server and logo

In a statement announcing the relaunch, Parler also said it had appointed Mark Meckler as its interim Chief Executive, replacing John Matze who was fired by the board this month.

Parler went dark after being cut off by major service providers that accused the app of failing to police violent content… Despite the relaunch, the website was still not opening for many users and the app was not available for download on mobile stores run by Apple and Alphabet-owned Google, which had earlier banned the app.

While several users took to rival Twitter to complain they were unable to access the service, a few others said they could access their existing account.

Parler, which asserted it once had over 20 million users, said it would bring its current users back online in the first week and would be open to new users the next week.

Last month, Amazon.com suspended Parler from its web hosting service, effectively taking the site offline. Parler, on Monday, said its new technology cut its reliance on “so-called Big Tech” for its operations.

Apple releases WatchOS 7.3.1 with fix for Series 5 and SE Charging Issues

Apple has released a fix for the Apple Watch Series 5 and SE for those who had issues with charging their device.

This update can be downloaded one of two ways:

Manually updating the device (see below for instructions).
Putting the watch on the charger overnight - with a paired, plugged in iPhone in the same area and letting it update automatically.

To update manually:

Put the watch on its charger.
Plug in a paired iPhone and have it near the watch.
On the iPhone, go into the Apple Watch app.
Then select General > Software update.
That's it.

Note: Neither the watch or the iPhone will update unless the charge on both devices is above 50%.

America’s Most Wanted (AMW) returning to Fox – will pick up where it was cancelled with Season 26

America’s Most Wanted is returning to FOX, and a premiere date has now been set for the series revival. Hosted by Elizabeth Vargas, a former anchor on 20/20, the series will once again hunt down and capture fugitives of justice. The network has released a preview for the returning series.

FOX revealed more about the revival of America’s Most Wanted in a press release.

“Hosted by Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Elizabeth Vargas, AMERICA’S MOST WANTED premieres Monday, March 15 @ 9/8c.

At a time when social media and technology loom large in the public consciousness, the series will offer a unique and urgent opportunity for viewers to be armchair detectives by helping law enforcement solve some of the toughest cases. Among its many accomplishments, AMERICA’S MOST WANTED has helped capture more than 1,186 criminals, including 17 on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. It also has reunited 43 missing children with their families.”
