Adobe releases Premiere Pro public beta for Apple Silicon M1 Macs

Adobe has been hard at work on a version of Premiere Pro that will run natively on Apple’s new Apple Silicon based M1 processor. The first public Beta is available today and Adobe invites Premiere Pro users to test it out.

Since Premiere Pro is built on a large codebase with support for a wide range of media and workflows, we will implement native support for Apple M1 in phases and some parts have not been ported yet. This phased approach allows us to validate performance and functionality for specific parts of the application before we add new components. And it also allows you to start seeing the benefits now.

The first public Beta includes all the core editing functions and workflows like color, graphics, and audio, as well as features like Productions, and multicam. We prioritized support for the most widely used codecs, like H.264, HEVC, and ProRes. The average editor is likely to see very little difference from the Intel version, but there are some limitations.

How to review and delete what data Google has saved about YOU

Like it or not, every time you go on Google.com or use one of Google's services, the company keeps a record about what you search for, watch, even what website(s) you go to from one of their services. Fortunately, there is a way to find and delete all of that History that Google has on you.

Just go to https://activity.google.com, sign in with your username and password.  Here is where you have access to what the search engine can and cannot track.

There are several options, so take your time and review all of them.  But the most important option you want to know is how to delete some, or all of your search activity.

  1. On the menu at the left side, select Delete activity by.
  2. A window will come up with 4 options, which should be self explanatory.
  3. Select the option you wish to choose.
  4. That's it.

There are other options on this page that you should get familiar with so you can finally take control of what Google has and doesn't have on YOU.

Confirmed Dates for Microsoft Build Conference 2021

It's almost that time of year again: Microsoft's annual developer conference is primed for an exciting three-day stretch in May. As it turns out, the official dates—May 25 to May 27—aren't far off from the dates leaked a few weeks back.

The leaked dates were May 25-57. Now, May 57 doesn't exist on the calendar, but if we look at it in retrospect, it seems like it might just have been a typo or deliberately incorrect placeholder. Swap the five for a two, and you have the dates that ended up being official.
