Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is starting a Podcast

Mike Pence is returning to his radio roots after a 22-year hiatus from the airwaves.

The former vice president will launch a podcast in the coming months hosted by the Young America’s Foundation, a conservative youth organization dating back to the 1960s. Pence will join YAF as the group’s first Ronald Reagan presidential scholar, and is expected to become a regular member of its campus lecture circuit once it is safe to resume such events, which have been halted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fox Business suddenly cancels its highest rated show “Lou Dobbs Tonight”

Without warning or much fanfare, the Fox Business Network suddenly cancelled its highest rated show, Lou Dobbs Tonight.

According to CNN.COM, "Lou Dobbs Tonight" is off the air, effective immediately, a Fox spokesperson confirmed. An interim show will take Dobbs' place at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern starting Monday.

It was a head-scratching change by Fox Business, since Dobbs was its highest-rated host, albeit on a relatively low-rated network. He often doubled his lead-in's ratings, which is a rare feat in television.
Dobbs, a veteran financial news anchor, became known at Fox Business for his sycophantic pro-Trump programs. He was one of the former president's biggest boosters on television, and Trump regularly thanked him in return.

Despite revenue growth, Snap worries about Apple’s privacy changes

On Thursday, Snap Inc., maker of the photo-messaging app Snapchat, warned that upcoming privacy changes by Apple could hurt Snap’s ad business although fourth-quarter results beat analysts’ estimates for user growth and revenue.

Snap stock declined 7% to $54.02 in trading after the bell.

Snap said Apple’s planned privacy changes, which will ask iPhone users to consent to personalized ads, could present a “risk” to advertiser demand, but added it was unclear how the changes could affect Snap’s business in the long-run.

“The disruption to ad targeting caused by the iOS 14 privacy changes will clearly be a worry for Snap, which has been steadily growing its armory of ad formats and advertisers,” said Tom Johnson at ad agency Mindshare Worldwide.

Revenue, which Snap generates mainly from ad sales, grew 62% to $911 million, easily beating Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $857.4 million.
