Apple donating to Wildfire Relief in California, USA
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced late Wednesday that Apple will be donating an unenclosed amount to the current ongoing efforts to curtail the fires in the state of California.
Fire season in the state of California kicked off Sunday when a lightning storm ignited fires across the state.
Over the last 100 hours, California has experienced close to 11,000 lightning strikes, which have sparked 367 fires, which have already taken over some communities and villages. Â At the time of this writing, the fires were zero percent contained with no end in site.
California’s Governor Gavin Newsom declared a statewide emergency early on Tuesday.
