How to (NOT) keep the Amazon Echo updated with the latest updates

Keeping your devices updated with the latest software and security updates is important, especially in today’s world of hackers and people looking to steal someone’s identity anyway possible.

While most Internet-connected devices may need to be updated manually, persons who have the Amazon Echo don’t have to worry about that.

As long as the device is connected to the Internet and is in “Do Not Disturb” mode, Alexa will check for updates (between 11pm - 6am local time), download them, and auto-install them for you, so you can be assured that the device is using the latest security and other enhancements. The device will not respond to any requests during the update(s).

These updates usually take anywhere from 5, 10, or 15 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the update and your Internet connection speed.

How to mark an email as read or unread on an Apple Watch

If you’re on the go a lot and have an Apple Watch, then chances are you’ve read one or two of your emails on it. But then when you get back to your desktop and read “new” emails, then you may run into the same emails that you read on your Apple Watch.

There’s a way for you to mark that email as read.

Here’s how:

Press the Digital Crown to bring up all of your installed apps.
Select Mail.
Tap the Mail that you wish to mark as Read or Unread.
Press firmly on the screen until four new options appear.
Select the Read or Unread option.
Repeat to mark other emails.
That’s it.

Apple Begins Selling Refurbished 13-Inch MacBook Pro Models With 10th-Generation Intel Processors

Apple has begun selling refurbished 13-inch MacBook Pro models with 10th Generation Intel Processors.

Refurbished means that Apple had received an order back from a customer for one reason or another. The company then checks it out and refurbishes the said model and than makes it available at a reduced price.
