Apple Stores offering ‘Shop with a Specialist’ Appointments

With the continued spread of the Coronavirus, companies have been forced to come up with creative ways to assist current and future customers, and Apple is no exception.

Similar to booking an appointment with a genius, Apple is now allowing customers to book an appointment with a product specialist that’ll assist with purchasing questions.

Appointments can be booked via the Apple Store app.  Customers search for the nearest store, then select the “shop with a specialist” option.  Appointments are usually in 10-15 increments, and ask that a person show up 5-10 minutes before the appointment.

Rumor: Apple Silicon Macs to continue supporting Thunderbolt despite shift away from Intel

When questioned by a media outlet, Apple verified that the company will be continuing support for Thunderbolt when the company shifts from Intel to Apple Silicon.  The company also said that the ports will support the latest specifications and features.

Apple's promise to continue support for the specification arrives hours after Intel detailed the forthcoming Thunderbolt 4 standard in a press release. While the updated protocol retains the 40Gb/s data throughput spec from Thunderbolt 3, more stringent minimum system requirements will deliver a more robust user experience.

Apple signs Bubba Wallace to Beats Endorsement Deal

Beats by Dre said it moved up the timeline on its announcement after Wallace traded barbs with President Trump on Monday. The president called on Wallace to apologize after an FBI investigation determined a noose found last month in the NASCAR driver’s garage at Talladega Superspeedway wasn’t a hate crime…

NASCAR launched an investigation last month after a member of Wallace’s team found a rope fashioned into a noose in his garage. FBI investigators determined the rope was a garage door pull that had been in place since October 2019… Wallace, the NASCAR Cup Series’ only Black driver, said he was “relieved” by the FBI’s findings and thanked officials for treating the incident “as a real threat.”

NASCAR President Steve Phelps defended the premier stock car circuit’s handling of the investigation, arguing that it had acted properly based on the evidence at hand.
