How to make an iPhone call to someone for you using Siri

You’d be surprised at how many people don’t know this handy little tip.

Have you ever wished that one could tell an iPhone to make a call for you? Well, as long as the person in question is included in your Contacts, YOU CAN! This tip works with all iPhone models.

Here’s how:

If you have “Hey Siri” enabled, just say “Hey Siri, call Mom.”
If you don’t have “Hey Siri” enabled, then enable Siri and say “Call Mom.”
That’s it!

If you have multiple numbers for that contact, Siri will ask which one to call.

Rumor & Opinion: Apple’s roadmap To Apple Silicon Macs, and should you wait to get a new Mac?

As Apple gets ready to switch from Intel chips to its own, we have begun hearing rumors on when and what hardware will get the in-house processing chips.

Here’s what we know so far. The following computers will be getting the chips during the 4th quarter of 2020:

MacBook Pro.
MacBook Air.

The rest of the lineup may not see the new chips until sometime during the 1st or 2nd quarter of 2021.

Now, the big question is, “should I wait to get a Mac?”

That would depend upon what you use the Mac for. If we go by past experiences, when Apple switched from the G4 chip to Intel, Apple itself supported Mac users with the G4 hardware and software for about 5-6 years after. It was the 3rd party large and small software vendors that choose to do away with G4 support before Apple did. So, if you use a lot of 3rd party software (from the App Store) then you’re looking at the timeframe that I just mentioned. Of course this could change, but that’s was what happened when we Mac users dealt with something like this before.

Apple releases iOS 13.6 Gold Master to developers

Late Thursday, Apple released the Gold Master of iOS 13.6 to developers. A Gold Master means this version is the final version and is no longer in Beta, meaning that a public release is imminent.

iOS 13.6 features improved support for downloading and installing system updates, the all-new Apple News+ Audio content, as well as the new digital Car Key feature, that’s coming soon to select luxury cars.

Persons are asked to download this update as soon as possible.
