Tunein and Apple Team up

TuneIn today teamed up with Apple to offer listeners access to TuneIn’s more than 100,000 global radio stations on all Siri-enabled devices and Apple Music. This collaboration comes on the heels of Apple’s release of iOS13, which introduces a new radio experience to Apple devices – including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, CarPlay and HomePod.

TuneIn brings their long-time integration expertise to Apple by offering sports fans, news devotees and radio enthusiasts alike the ability to hear the voices they trust on their favorite Siri-enabled devices with just a simple voice command. For example, just ask Siri to play FOX News Talk, Clemson Football, or regional radio favorites such as Heart UK, RTL Germany, NRJ France, ABC Australia or CBC Canada to directly launch the TuneIn listening experience. The complete feature will be rolling out to Apple Music and all Siri-enabled devices across various stages of this week.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Apple and be a part of the company’s ecosystem on a global scale,” said Tony Archibong, Vice President, Distribution & Business Development, TuneIn, in a statement. “As our 75 million users around the world can attest, radio is one of the most popular categories of audio listening on connected devices, and this important partnership serves to heighten our user experience and be everywhere our listener is.

TuneIn’s radio stations can be accessed worldwide in 197 countries on more than 200 different platforms and devices. TuneIn provides the displaced radio listener a connection to home with the local, national and international stations they love anywhere they go and on any device. Furthering TuneIn’s reach, now more than 50 million Apple Music subscribers have direct access to TuneIn’s coveted content offering on over 1.4 billion active Apple devices around the world.
