{U}: Problems with Apple Watch Series 3

The device hasn't been out more than a week, and they're are reports that the Apple Watch Series 3 is having connectivity issues with connecting or staying connected to LTE Networks, while other reports are stating that the device is also having connection issues with the iPhone as well.

Update:
AppleInsider.com is reporting that Apple is aware of the issue, and will be offering a fix soon.

Reports: iOS 11 is breaking some apps

Fox Business and others are reporting that some early adopters of iOS 11 are finding that some of the apps on their devices are not working.

The problems stems from Apple's newest operating system not being able to run apps that are compiled in 32-Bit code.  App developers now have to recompile (re-make) their apps in 64 bit, which can take time to become available as an update for a device.

If you're finding that some of your apps do not work, hang tight or contact the company to see when they are putting out an update.

First wave of AR Apps hitting the iOS App Store

Now that iOS 11 is out, users can finally experience a new technology called Augmented Reality which places objects on tables, floors, or any other flat type surfaces. It was first shown at Apple's World Wide Developers Conference last summer.

While the list of AR apps is currently limited, here are some that will give you an idea of what this technology can do:

Splitter Critters ($2.99)

  • What's it about? Use swipes of your finger to split a colorful landscape and guide alien critters back to their spaceship, avoiding enemies and solving puzzles in the process.

  • How's AR used? Scan a flat surface and then place a fully playable version of the main game into the real world, housed within a small white box.

Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade (Free)

  • What's it about? Control an Imperial Knight war machine in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and fight the evil forces of Chaos through 170 single player missions using cannons, missiles, and thermal blasts to defeat your enemies.

  • How's AR used? Drop your Imperial Knight from the main game into an AR "Photo Mode" to take snap shots of the war machine in the real world.

Egg, Inc. (Free)

  • What's it about? A farming simulation game focused on hatching eggs, building hen houses, hiring drivers, and researching advanced technologies to upgrade your egg farm.
  • How's AR used? Take a glimpse at your farm in AR with a "Farm To Table" picture-taking mode.

Thomas & Friends Minis (Free)

  • What's it about? Build, decorate, paint, and create full train sets and then control characters from Thomas & Friends as you drive through your customized train set.

  • How's AR used? Bring all of your creations into the real world with the app's AR mode, which places your train set on a flat surface so you can zoom in and around while still being able to interact with various tools and control characters.

Here’s how to manage iOS apps without iTunes

Incase you didn't notice, the latest version of iTunes does not include the iOS app store.  While not a big deal for some, others may be concerned on how to manage their iOS apps without iTunes.

If you ever need to re-downloaded and/or manage your apps, you can now do it within the App Store Purchase Section in the iOS App Store on an iOS device.

Here's How:

  1. Activate your iOS device as normal.
  2. Go into the App Store.
  3. Go to "Updates" and then "Purchased" on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
  4. You can now manage or download any apps that you may need.
  5. For iPad: Tap the smiley face in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  6. Now tap Purchased.

To download any app(s) from the store, tap the small cloud with the down arrow icon on the right of each named app.

That's it.
