Tips and Tricks for using Siri on the Apple Watch

“There’s a lot to love about Siri on the Apple Watch: The microphone is defter at parsing what you’re saying, your virtual assistant can process a number of tasks, and your watch is often more convenient for dictated tasks than your iPhone,” Serenity Caldwell writes for iMore.

“There are two normal ways to trigger Siri on your Apple Watch: On screen wake, say ‘Hey Siri’ followed by your command, or press in the Digital Crown until you feel the haptic buzz, then dictate your question,” Caldwell writes. “Unfortunately, thanks to room noise and other external factors, Siri doesn’t always trigger reliably on the watch.”

“To save battery, the Apple Watch only listens for the ‘Hey Siri’ on screen wake. Unfortunately, that can make ‘Hey Siri’ a little frustrating if you have your screen configured to wake on wrist raise and don’t get the phrase out quickly enough,” Caldwell writes. “Instead, you can reset the process by briefly putting your palm over the screen to turn it off, then re-raising your wrist (or pressing on the display) to wake it, followed by ‘Hey Siri.’

How to: Get rid of multiple notifications on Apple Watch

If you're like me, you get multiple notifications thought the day on your Apple Watch. Going through each one and deleting them on the Apple Watch can be quite daunting.

Fortunately, Apple has a way to delete these messages all at once. Here's how:

Go in to the notifications screen by swiping down on the watch.
Force touch the screen until you see a large "X".
Tap the "X" to delete all notifications at once.

iHeart Radio Unveils New Apple TV App

“If you want to listen to the same corporate pop music as you do on your terrestrial radio, you can do so from the comfort of your couch,” Rob LeFebvre reports for Cult of Mac.

“iHeartRadio’s streaming app can now also reside on your Apple TV, assuming you have one of the newer fourth-generation set-top boxes from Apple,” LeFebvre reports. “The new Apple TV app will give you all the main elements of the iOS app, including Live Stations, Custom Stations based on songs or artists, and podcasts from the behemoth media network.”

“iHeartRadio used to be called Clear Channel Communications, a media group that all but gobbled up radio stations around the country, making FM stations all start to sound the same with playlists guaranteed to please the lowest common denominator of listeners,” LeFebvre reports. “It’s a strategy that’s done pretty well, as evidenced by its monetary success.”
