A report has come in (with screen shot) that Apple is now offering SIM Free iPhones on its on-line store. Â SIM free means that a customer can use an iPhone with virtually any phone carrier, as long as their SIM Card fits in to the device.
The option is available when ordering the iPhone.
According to various sources, they have reported that Apple Pay will be expanding in 2016. Â Companies such as Chili's, KFC and StarBucks will be adding the pay system, with pilot programs coming online later this year.
AT&T has flipped the switch on their WiFi calling feature. Â This feature allows AT&T users to use a 
nearby WiFi network if a cell connection isn't available or is poor.  The feature has to be added to your plan and then enabled in the Settings > Phone section.

(CNN/Money) Over the past few years, Microsoft (MSFT, Tech30) has said that its Surface tablets would replace traditional laptops, but now the company has a backup product -- just in case.
The Microsoft Surface Book looks like a MacBook at a glance. How it works is much more interesting -- and intuitive.
Just like the Surface, the new Surface Book can be used as a full-powered laptop or as a tablet. You can also snap the display screen to the back of the keyboard so it acts like a clipboard.
Lenovo has a similar product -- its Yoga series -- but Microsoft's Surface Book is thinner, lighter and easier to use. Microsoft also said it can run for 12 hours on a single charge.
At an event in New York Tuesday, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the company's goal is to "reinvent" products. The 13.5-inch Surface Book will go on sale on October 26 (preorders start Tuesday) and will cost $1,499.
