3.  Based on Betas, the installation takes anywhere from 15, 30, to 45 minutes.

U2's Bono apologies for automatic song downloads

U2GroupLong time U2 Frontman, Bono, has apologized to its fans and iTunes users about automatically downloading their newest album, "Songs of Innocents" onto user's computers without their consent.  Bono said in part:

"Oops. Um. I'm sorry about that. I had this beautiful idea and we got carried away with ourselves.

Artists are prone to that kind of thing. Drop of megalomania, touch of generosity, dash of self-promotion, and deep fear that these songs that we poured our life into over the last few years might not be heard.

There's a lot of noise out there. I guess we got a little noisy ourselves to get through it."

U2 and Apple made the album free for all iTunes users - except they didn't tell them that the album would be automatically sent to iTunes's customers.

OOPS! Apple's own iBook spills the beans about new iPads

With less than 24 hours to go until the media event, it seems that the company has spilled the beans about one major key feature about the new iPads - Touch ID.

The tip comes from Apple's own iBook store in a manual called "iPad User Guide for iOS 8".  The book (as shown below) shows instructions on how to use the Touch ID with an iPad:

The error was spotted on September 17th and has since been taken offline and replaced with another version below:

It is not known if this was a honest mistake, or the new iPads will have a Touch ID feature on them.
