Amazon.com adds Airplay support to its iOS App

On Tuesday, Amazon.com pushed out an updated iOS App for its instant video service that adds the ability for an end-user to use Airplay with its video service. The app also includes:

IMDB cast and director information, ratings, goofs, trivia and quotes
Read customer reviews
Find other videos featuring cast or director
Customers who watched this also watched…
Concurrent downloads
Improved offline experience
Faster and more responsive interface
Bug fixes and stability improvements

The app is available in the iOS App store now.

Rumor: Apple to host another event on 10/15

According to German Apple News Blog MacGeneration, Apple is going to be holding another event sometime on or around October 15th to announce new iPads. This web site has had a hit and miss with rumors, but we're posting this information anyway for reference and/or discussion.

Japanese Customers Brave Typhoon in order to get new iPhone

Customers camped out for this Friday's iPhone launch in Tokyo were offered refuge inside an Apple retail store just before a typhoon hit the area.

Customers have been lined up for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in Tokyo's Ginza since last week. But a powerful typhoon hit the city on Monday, prompting evacuations in some parts of the city.

Before the storm struck, and before the Apple Store was open to the public, customers camped out for the next iPhone were invited inside for shelter, according to Kotaku. Those lined up for Apple's next iPhones were allowed to rest in the store, bring in their wet possessions, and were provided with complimentary bottled water.

Report: Apple finalizing retail space at new World Trade Center site

According to AppleInsider.com, Apple is said to be finalizing plans to open up a retail store inside the new World Trade Center Mall that's owned by Westfield Group, which already has several stores and shops scheduled to open when the mall is completed by 2015.
